Managers expect uptrend in major sectors of economy

Managers in the manufacturing industry, constructions, trade and services are expecting an increase of the production and activity in May – July 2016, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) revealed in a release.
‘According to the business tendency survey of May 2016, managers from manufacturing forecast the growth of the production volume (balance +19 per cent) for the next three months. Significant increase is expected in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (balance +51pc), while for the manufacturing of tobacco products the tendency will be of decrease (balance -39pc). For the prices of the industrial products, a relative stability is forecast for the next three months (balance +2pc). Regarding the number of employees, a moderate growth is forecast, the balance being +6pc per total manufacturing,’ the release reads.
According to these May estimations, there will be an increase in the production volume of the construction activity for the next three months (balance +27pc). Managers forecast a moderate increase in the number of employees (balance +10pc). As to the prices of construction works, a relative stability is forecast (balance +3pc).
In the retail trade sector, managers estimate a moderate growth tendency in the economic activity (balance +9pc). A relative stability is forecast in the volume of orders placed by the trade units to the suppliers of goods (balance +3pc). Employers forecast for the next three months a moderate decrease in the number of employees (balance -13pc). For the next three months, the managers of trade companies estimate a moderate decrease of retail selling prices (balance -10pc).
The demand of services (turnover) will register a moderate growth in the next three months (balance +14pc). In the services sector, a moderate growth in the number of employees is forecast (balance +8pc). According to the managers’ opinion, the selling or invoice prices of provisions will have a trend of relative stability (balance +1pc).
