Is it possible for us to see people from CNN, Euronews, BBC, Le Monde, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google on the same stage? Yes, it really is, and it will happen in Bucharest, on June 9 and 10.
The event called Interactive Central and Eastern Europe Festival, 2016 edition, or ICEEfest, is organized by ThinkDigital, in association with Orange, with the support of IAB Europe, and is dedicated to the Internet. It will bring to Bucharest professionals from digital companies, as well as from famous international publishers. According to organizers, attendees at this event will be able to listen to more than 100 speakers, including guests from Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, Euronews, CNN, Le Monde, Corriere della Sera, BBC, Maker Studios, The 614 Group, uSwitch, House of Kaizen, Verve, Palladium, Khora Apps, Wildbytes, RGA, Lovin Group and many others. The event will take place on four main stages, plus VIP areas and the ones dedicated to workshops, exhibitions and fun.
ICEEfest 2016 will also include three new content lines: eHealth (related to the impact of the Internet and technology on medicine), VR&AR (related to the virtual and augmented reality) and Startups (having an agenda which is dedicated to the entrepreneurial area and to the investors who are interested in new business ideas in Central and Eastern Europe).
The other content lines (Innovation, Marcom, Content, eCommerce and AdTech) will complete the “day” agenda, while evenings will be dedicated to the stand-up comedy, music, films and parties.
The edition of this year will also bring a last moment surprise: ICEEfest 2016 will be opened at Bucharest by Netflix, who will perform their first presentation at an event in the Eastern Europe.
Joris Evers is Vice President and Head of Communications for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Netflix. He will speak about the company’s plan to conquer the public in this region. Evers’ presentation will kick off the Festival on June 9, according to the Festival’s agenda. He intends to reveal how Netflix will try to become more and more relevant for its subscribers in Central and Eastern Europe. The future of television and of the online video content is other issue which the Netflix VIP will approach in his speech and in the debates that will follow.
The organizers also announced that they have launched for the first time a bundle dedicated to the companies investing in their people. This is a discount to an amount of minimum 15 tickets purchased for the employees or partners.
