The Public Finance Ministry (MFP) sent on Wednesday to banks the allocation of additional guarantees for the First Home programme, due to the increase in the overall ceiling for 2016 by 500 million lei, reads a press release of the Finance Ministry issued on Wednesday.
‘The allocation to banks of the ceilings was sent to the banks participating in the programme on June 1, 2016. The banks that have received ceilings are: Alpha Bank, Creditcoop, Banca Romaneasca, Transilvania Bank, Bancpost, Leumi, BCR, BRD, CEC, Credit Agricole, Garanti, ING Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, Marfin, OTP Bank, Piraeus Bank, Raiffeisen Bank and UniCredit Bank,’ reads the MFP release.
The ceiling for the First Home in 2016 has been increased by 500 million lei through Government Decision no. 366 / May 18, 2016. ‘The measure responds to the requests of potential beneficiaries of the programme and takes into account the significantly increased volumes guaranteed under the programme,’ mentions the release.
So far, over 181,897 guarantees have been issued within the programme for funding of over 3.5 billion euros, equivalent to 15.6 billion lei.
