The Romanian athlete Catalina Ponor won the bronze medal in the European Championships in Bern, on Sunday, in the floor finals, after winning a first bronze medal on balance beam.
Ponor, who had a slight misstep during her exercise on balance beam, was granted 14.266 points. The gold medal went to Russian Aliya Mustafina, 15.100 p, while silver was adjudicated by French Marine Boyer, 14.600 p.
Catalina Ponor also ranked third in beam qualifications, 14.433, being surpassed by Russians Aliya Mustafina and Angelina Melnikova.
Ponor (28 y.o.), Olympic triple champion in Athens 2004 (beam, ground and team), has four European beam titles, as well as a silver and a bronze medal at the World Championships on beam.
