APIA to start paying out Q1, 2016 diesel fuel excise duties

The Agency for Agricultural Payments and Interventions (APIA) is starting paying out the excise duties on the diesel fuel used for agriculture in the first quarter of 2016, which is nearly 94 million lei to more than 12,000 beneficiaries.
‘Starting June 6, 2016, the Agency for Agricultural Payments and Interventions (APIA) is starting payments to the account of the excise duties on diesel oil used in agriculture in the first quarter of 2016 under Order 819 of June 1, 2016. The earmarked amount is 93,913,700.242 lei, with the money to go to 12,185 beneficiaries for 52,246,842.972 litres of diesel fuel,’ APIA says in a press statement.
Applications for the state-granted aids for diesel fuel for agricultural use related to the January 1 – March 31, 2016 period, were submitted by May 3.
The state-granted aid comes in the form of disbursements of the difference between the standard excise duties and reduced duties (21 euros per 1,000 litres) for diesel fuel used for mechanised agricultural works which price is set by law at 1.7975 lei/litre.
The beneficiaries acquire the necessary quantities of diesel fuel and ask for the selling tax documents issued by the suppliers on their name in order to conduct mechanised works in the areas of vegetable and animal farming as well as land improvements.
