President Iohannis meets CCR judges

President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday had a meeting with the judges with the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR), to whom he underscored the importance of ensuring constitutional justice independence, the Presidential Administration informs.

“During the discussions, they underscored the importance of ensuring constitutional justice independence, as one of the main guarantees of the rule of law. President Iohannis highlighted the CCR’s role in promoting loyal cooperation among state institutions,” the source says.

The meeting took place upon the request of CCR Chairman Augustin Zegrean, as the tenure of three CCR judges ended.
