General Prosecution Office staff are seizing on Thursday documents from about 300 hospitals nationwide in connection with acquisitions of Hexi Pharma disinfectants.
According to judicial sources, the investigators seek various documents, notes of approval, other papers related to the way the 300 hospitals have awarded contracts to drug maker Hexi Pharma.
Hexi Pharma managing director Flori Dinu is being probed under house arrest on 128 counts of deceptive activities and participation in forestalling disease combat.
Hexi Pharma head of production Mihai Leva is being prosecuted for aiding and abetting the forestalling of disease combat.
Prosecutors claim that between 2014 and 2016 Hexi Pharma signed biocide sale contracts worth approximately 51 million lei with 152 medical facilities.
