Dragos Anastasiu, new AHK Romania Chairman

Dragos Anastasiu, Eurolines Group Chairman, was elected head of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) at a General Assembly meeting on Tuesday.

Dragos Anastasiu was elected member of AHK Romania’s Executive Board in June 2011 and has been permanently involved in AHK Romania’s activities ever since. “Our goal is to intensify good Romanian-German economic relations, and our task is to support German and Romanian companies when entering the Romanian and German market respectively. I take over the office of AHK Romania Chairman with great pleasure and I will continue to get involved in supporting AHK Romania’s projects,” Anastasiu stated after the elections. Several new Executive Board members were also elected: Iuliu Cadar (Autonet Import), Wargha Enayati (Versa Puls Media), Daniel Metz (EBS Romania) and Cristian Secosan (Romelectro). Lorand Fabian (Geiger Group Romania) was re-elected and Ludger Thol (Lupp Projekt Transilvania), whose tenure expired, left AHK Romania’s Executive Board. Juan Gruben (Commerzbank) is the new Deputy Chairman.

The Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) is the largest bilateral chamber of commerce in Romania. AHK Romania currently has over 530 member companies. Through the services it offers and events it organises, AHK Romania supports German companies on their debut on the Romanian market and, to an equal extent, is a competent partner for Romanian companies interested in the German market.
