ARTS & LEISURE CONCERTS

Maestro Andre Rieu returns in Constitution Square to enchant the Romanian public with two concerts on Saturday and Sunday

Maestro Andre Rieu, highly appreciated in Romania, will return, as he promised, in Constitution Square (photo), for two new memorable shows, on June 11 and 12. Thus, the Constitution Square will become once again the Centre of the Universe – as violinist Andre Rieu described the location that has hosted last June no less than seven of his concerts, accompanied by his orchestra, attended by over 85,000 viewers. Andre Rieu thus wrote a highly important page in the history of concerts in Romania, as he was described the most ample concert event of the year 2015.

The notoriety of Andre Rieu’s original concerts is represented not only by the repertoire of classical works he performed, many of them highly popular, but also by the enthusiasm and cheerfulness passed on by the artist and his orchestra to the audience, at their performance.

In his concerts in Maastricht, the famous violinist André Rieu, who declared his approach to Romania, promoted Romanian culture, traditional music and dances by the remarkable presence of maestro Gheorghe Zamfir; he revealed empathy to the suffering of Romanians in the aftermath of the Colectiv Club tragedy, and he gifted, as a sign of solidarity, his most valuable asset: music.

On June 11 and 12, the audience at the Constitution Square will benefit of a new extraordinary show including an impressive artistic programme. A high quality concert of over three hours of valuable music, emotions and joy”, organizers announced.

The concert on Saturday is sold-out and the last available tickets for the concert on Sunday can be bought both at the sale points located at the two main entrances to the venue and through the Eventim network.
