+ For the first time in Romania, Uber users will be able to order flights in the app + On Saturday, June 18, Uber and Regional Air Services will operate flights from the Bucharest Baneasa Airport to the Tuzla Airport near Constanta
On Saturday, June 18, Uber users will be able to use the UberJET app. At a simple touch of a button, they will be able to get from Bucharest to the seaside in around one hour. Latest-generation Diamond DA 42 airplanes, put at their disposal by Regional Air Services, will take off from Baneasa Airport and will land at the Tuzla Airport located close to Constanta. Transportation from there to the Mamaia resort will be provided.
A flight costs RON 500 per person. New users can win a free flight if they open an Uber account on June 15-17 and use the UberJET25 code in order to enter the raffle.
“Our mission is to make urban mobility as accessible as hot water. And, in time, to offer a little bit of magic to our users. With UberJET you can get to the seaside in just one hour but, more than that, you can touch a button and order an unforgettable high-altitude experience,” Uber Romania General Manager Nicoleta Schroeder stated.
How UberJET works: open the Uber app on Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; select the UberJET option and order; an Uber driver will take your order and drive you to the Baneasa Airport, within the limit of available seats. Because of weight limitations, no luggage heavier than 2 kilograms per person can be accepted; UberJET airplanes will take off from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and will land at the Tuzla Airport within an hour from take-off. The cost of the ride to Baneasa Airport and from Tuzla Airport to Mamaia is included in the cost of the flight.
