The contracting rate of EEA and Norway grants reached 95 percent in Romania this year, the Ministry of European Funds (MFE) informs on Friday.
“At the Annual Meeting on EEA and Norway Grants that took place on Thursday at the MFE headquarters, donor countries appreciated the progress made by Romania in the period 2015-2016: 830 projects have been contracted and the funding contracting rate reached 95 percent, while payments for projects stand at 67 percent,” reads a MFE release.
The fifth Annual Meeting on EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014 organized on June 16 by the Ministry of European Funds, in its capacity as national point of contact, brought together representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Norway and Iceland, of the Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, the Financial Mechanism Office in Brussels, as well as of institutions involved in the management of these grants in Romania.
“During the meeting, the participants approached aspects related to the stage of EEA and Norway funding for ongoing programs and projects, the development of bilateral relations and other issues of interest. They also highlighted the successful conclusion on April 30, 2016 of the projects under the NGO Fund program managed by the Foundation for Civil Society Development and the Green Industry Innovation Program managed by Innovation Norway,” the release said.
