DNA steps crowded once again

Several “stars” that have legal problems have queued outside the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) headquarters once again on Tuesday morning, having been summoned for hearings. Thus, ex-PSD MP Viorel Hrebenciuc, Omar Hayssam and ex-ANAF Director Gelu Diaconu arrived at the DNA.

Omar Hayssam, the Syrian businessman serving time at the Margineni Penitentiary was brought with a police van on Wednesday morning. Shortly thereafter, around 10 a.m., Hrebenciuc and Diaconu arrived at the DNA.

“I am terribly frustrated but you will see that the truth will surface,” Gelu Diaconu stated when leaving. Diaconu is criminally probed in a case that concerns the Roma Party, alongside Lower Chamber lawmakers Madalin Voicu and Nicolae Paun, being accused of favouring the offender and malfeasance in office.

In what concerns Hrebenciuc, he told journalists he was subpoenaed as a witness.
