Save Bucharest Union (USB) leader Nicusor Dan announced on Thursday that he will resign from the Save Bucharest Association in order to avoid being in conflict of interest, bearing in mind that he is about to become member of the Bucharest General Council.
“Starting today, I will be general councillor. Today, after eight and a half years, I am resigning from the Save Bucharest Association, in order not to be in a conflict of interest. Eight years and a half is not a little while. I had mathematical projects, I had plans with my family, my friends, I had books to read. All put on hold. I don’t know if I will forgive but I will certainly not forget the bastards who forced me to neglect my projects,” Nicusor Dan wrote on Facebook.
On the other hand, he confessed that through his activity within the Association he met “hundreds of special people” with whom he “shared causes.”
“It was a happiness and an honour for us to be colleagues. Save Romania Union is the most important cause now. Together we can change Romania,” Nicusor Dan concluded.
