PNL First Vice President Catalin Predoiu has presented on Facebook his future political career plans after his failure in the local elections in which he lost the race for the Bucharest City Hall to his PSD contender. Predoiu announced that he will focus on direct dialogue with citizens, on local, national and international topics.
“I will continue my political activity. The fact that I registered a failure does not encourage me, it stimulates me. (…) I’m a long distance runner,” he emphasised, pointing out that he wants to set right what he did wrong and to be “on the street.”
“Communication is an essential dimension of politics, one that I too have personally neglected to some extent in the past and I believe I paid a fairly large price for that,” Predoiu added, saying that in the following period he plans to organise and take part in meetings with citizens in Bucharest and around the country, meetings focused on all topics, but also as part of a “module of Catalin Predoiu conferences” in which he will “present his opinions.”
The former Bucharest City Hall candidate stressed he does not want unelected offices.
He criticised Parliament and its recent decisions, pointing out that PSD is the “chief mischief maker” and that “PNL has started internal reforms, the important thing is to continue them.”
