Iohannis convenes Ciolos, Isarescu, political leaders for second round of talks following Brexit

President Klaus Iohannis has convened for Monday July 4, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, Governor of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) Mugur Isarescu, as well as leaders of the parliamentary parties for a second round of talks in the aftermath of the UK’s referendum to leave the European Union.

“As announced late last week, Romania’s President wants to inform the attendees about the conclusions of the June 28-29 Council European meeting in Brussels. Part of the talks, President Klaus Iohannis will come up with a suggestion for the establishment of a working group to assess the impact of the UK’s decision on Romania, to identify the necessary measures as well as any opportunities that may arise from the circumstances,” the Presidential Administration said Thursday in a press statement.
