President Iohannis signs decree appointing Albani DIICOT deputy chief prosecutor

President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday signed a decree appointing Ioana Bogdana Albani deputy chief prosecutor with the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) for three years, the Presidential Administration reports.

December 2014-April 2016, Albani was chief prosecutor with the DIICOT’s Cybercrime Service, while in April 2016 she became chief prosecutor of the Centre for Operational Applications of DIICOT’s Prosecutors.

Also on Thursday, Iohannis signed a decree promulgating a law approving Government Emergency Ordinance 116/2013 concerning measures for the functioning of evaluation boards in penitentiaries, reeducation centres as well as pre-trial detention centres and establishing measures for the smooth operation of courts for the time the boards are in session.

The President also promulgated a law approving the termination by denunciation of July 5, 1890 Convention concerning creation of an international union for publication of customs tariffs and of a protocol signed in Brussels under date of December 16, 1949, modifying the convention of July 5, 1890, concerning the creation of an international union for the publication of customs tariffs.

Also promulgated was a law approving Government Emergency Ordinance 55/2015 establishing the reorganisation of the central public administration and amending pieces of legislation.
