Eight Romanian companies at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2016

Mobile World Congress Shanghai is the most important event in Asia dedicated to mobile technologies, and this year Romania took part in it for the first time. MWCS is the counterpart of the European MWC Barcelona event in which Romania took part in the last five editions. MWCS 2016 took place from June 29 to July 1. The eight companies that represented Romania exhibited products and services they developed throughout the year.

Despite all efforts, the completion of the public procurement within the Economy Ministry failed, so participation in this year’s event was not financed from the Export Promotion Programme, jeopardising at the same time Romanian participations in the future editions of these global events that are landmarks for mobile technologies. Nevertheless, the companies did take part in MWCS 2016 with the help and financing of the Romanian Association for Electronic Industry and Software Timisoara (ARIES-TM). ARIES-TM thus made it possible for Romanian companies to be present alongside the large companies in this domain and offered them the possibility to enhance their visibility on the international technology solutions market.
