Actor George Ivascu, director of Bucharest’s Metropolis Theatre, was heard at the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) on Tuesday. Ivascu spent less than an hour at the hearings and stated that he was heard as a witness.
“All is well when it ends well! (…) For me this was the episode,” Ivascu told journalists, without revealing the case in which he was heard.
George Ivascu has been director of the Metropolis Theatre since 2007. The theatre is financed from the Bucharest General Council’s budget.
In 2012, George Ivascu was the spokesperson of Robert Negoita. Negoita won the 2012 elections and this year’s June 5 elections for the Bucharest District 3 Mayoralty.
