Bucharest’s cultural symbol, the Romanian Athenaeum, will host the festival “Summer is Magic” (“Vara e Magica”), between 13 and 24 August, each Wednesday evening. For the fifth consecutive year, the Romanian Youth Orchestra, Portugal’s Youth Orchestra, Sinfonietta Orchestra and Junior Orchestra, along with famous Romanian and foreign conductors and soloists, will bring the public to the Athenaeum in this summer, too.
Held in this formula since 2012, the “Magic Summer” Festival has become a cultural landmark of an international level regarding the manner of spending the free time, much awaited by the people in Bucharest spending a part of the summer in the Capital, as well as by a larger and larger number of tourists.
“The public of the concerts performed at the Magic Summer in the fantastic hall of the Athenaeum is mainly represented by active people, opinion leaders, who understand and value in the right way the musical gala offered to them. The cultural elevation ambiance which the wonderful building of the Romanian Athenaeum gives is completed by the fact that the reason for the spectators to come here is always honored by the Great Music.
