Women entrepreneurship program: RON 50,000 for developing a SME

EcoMin launched on Tuesday, through Entrepreneurial Policies General Directorate, the application for registration in the national multi-annual program for entrepreneurship development among women in the SME sector 2016. The allocated budget for the minimis scheme for the 2016 budget year is RON 500,000. This program is financing the implementation of the best business plans submitted by the entrepreneur women. The value of the grant funds is maximum 90 percent of the total value of the performed eligible expenses (VAT excluded) and it cannot exceed the amount of RON 50,000 per beneficiary.

The main objective of the minimis scheme provided in the multi-annual national program for entrepreneurship development among women is to stimulate and support the startup and the development of the private economic structures funded by women, by facilitating their access to finance, to increase the potential of accessing the financing sources, given the circumstances of the issues related to maintaining the balance between the family duties and prffessional duties and of the prejudices existing at the local level. Granting the minimis aid under the program will be done only by observing the criteria regarding minimis aid provided by EC.

The minimis scheme aims to improve the economic performances of the existing enterprises led by women, to stimulate the self-commitment and toe increase the number of entrepreneur women within the business communities, to develop the capacity and the entrepreneurial thinking among women, to increase the number of new jobs created within the private economic structures led by women and of the benefits brought to the national economy.

The scheme is implemented on the the whole territory of Romania, in all the 8 development regions. The aid granted by this minimis scheme cannot exceed the limit of EUR 200,000 over three financial years for a single enterprise and of EUR 100,000 over three financial years for the beneficiaries who carry out transport of goods on behalf of the third parties or surcharge.  The scheme is available until December 31, 2016. Payments under the minimis scheme will be made until December 31, 2016.
