The Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, were welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace

Their Royal Highnesses, The Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, have paid an official visit last week to Great Britain, according to a released issue on Friday by the Press Office of the Elisabeta Palace.

It was the eighth public visit abroad to the Royal Family of Romania in 2016. In April, Prince Radu visited the Republic of Turkey and then Moldova, in April-May the Crown Princess and Prince Radu visited Sweden, in May Princess Mary visited Moldova, in June, the Crown Princess was in a visit in Switzerland and Prince Radu visited Belgium. In July, Princess Mary visited Bulgaria.

Thursday, July 14, The Crown Princess and Prince Radu were welcomed at Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The meeting with Her Majesty the Queen had a private character.

The Crown Princess Margaret has also visited the headquarters of the British Red Cross where she had a meeting with the representatives of the national organization. At the meeting, they have discussed the global projects of the organization and the cooperation between the British and the Romanian national societies.

In addition, the Crown Princess held at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, the conference “The Crown and the modern Romania” with the occasion of the jubilee of 150 years of the Romanian Crown. The event took place in the presence of a large number of participants, members of the British Parliament, representatives of civil society in the UK and members of the Romanian community.
