Starting with 11th July 2016, Roland Ruffing has taken over the position of Chief Executive Officer METRO Cash & Carry Romania. „I am pleased and honored to have been appointed the CEO of METRO Cash & Carry Romania. METRO Romania will continue its sustainable growth and further consolidate its market position through more focused customer approaches and innovations”, said Ruffing. “We will certainly carry on the the good collaboration with our business stakeholders and continue to be a responsible corporate citizen for the local community.”
Roland Ruffing’s career at METRO started in 2004 when he joined MAKRO Cash & Carry Poland in July 2004 as Director Finance and changed in February 2009 in the same position to MAKRO Czech Republic/ MCC Slovakia. In November 2010 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer METRO Cash & Carry Hungary and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer METRO Cash & Carry in November 2013. In August 2015 Roland Ruffing became the member of the Operating Board of METRO Cash & Carry.
