RON 26 million for SMEs in the rural areas

EcoMin  launched the National Multiannual Program for establishing and development of small and medium enterprises in the rural areas. The budget of the Program is RON 25.9 million, according to a press release of the institution. “By implementing the program in 2016, it is expected to grant minimis aids to a number of at least 207 beneficiaries. The maximum value of the financial grant fund is 90 percent of the total value of the eligible costs performed (without VAT), but not more than RON 125,000 for each beneficiary”, reports the Economy Ministry.

“The available grants through the national programs can be used as a catalyst for stimulating the rural entrepreneur. 2016 is just the beginning of a period in which the access to grants is more easy for the existing companies and for the ones having potential in all the rural areas. The new granting programs available from the state budget and from European funds stimulate an environment in which the rural entrepreneur can develop itself”, stated Claudiu Vrinceanu, Secretary of State within MECRMA. The main objective of the program is to stimulate and support the establishment and development of the private economic structures created in the rural areas, to facilitate the access to the financing sources for SMEs founded in the rural areas, in the context of reducing the economical discrepancies between the urban and rural areas, according to the quoted source.
