Brancusi’s works from Targu Jiu will be photographed from time to time with high fidelity devices, while the degraded parts will be studied with the microscope. Specialists will perform a report indicating the level of deterioration of the works. A weather station was also installed close to the monuments. In order to preserve Brancusi’s works, the authorities from Targu Jiu wish to install sensors to prevent visitors to get too close.
The specialists will perform detailed analyzes with cutting edge tools. Each square centimeter will be photographed, and on the basis of these images, a 3D collage will be performed. Using a high-powered microscope, the degraded parts will be analyzed, which will help a lot to the possible restoration works.
