RABO launches the Code of Ethics, the first document of this kind dedicated the Romanian Real Estate professionals

RABO – Romanian Association of Building Owners launches the Code of Ethics which aims to establish the standards on ethics and the RABO members’ behavior.

“This Code of Ethics, together with our values, is a guide about the way in which we understand reputation and professionalism and a harmonized properties development market at the European level. The Romanian Association of Building Owners’ Code of Ethics reflects our dedication to carry out responsible activities and by complying with it, we make sure that we are a trusted partner for our customers and partners,” said Mr. Liviu Tudor (photo), Founder and President of Romanian Association of Building Owners and Vice-President of European Property Federation (EPF).

Member of the European Parliament Property Federation (EPF), a pan-European organization with headquarters in Brussels, RABO is the first organization which brings together some of the most important Romanian business investors and is the only Real Estate organization which launches a Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics’ purpose is to bring the Romanian Real Estate market into alignment with similar practices of European organizations.

The document incorporates the principles mentioned in “European Code of Ethics for Real Estate Professionals”, adopted in 2006 by CEPI (European Council of the Real Estate occupations).

The RABO Code of Ethics is a guide for property owners, property developers, Real Estate staff, customers and consumers of Real Estate services. The document clearly defines the expectations in respect to the standards and behavior of professionals who carry out their activity in the Romanian Real Estate field. The Code of Ethics provides a framework for matching best practice and recommendations initiated by similar organizations in Europe.

Some of the principles which are to be found in the Code of Ethics are:

  1. Members have an obligation to ensure that through education, training and continuous learning, have the necessary knowledge to carry out their tasks as owners, investors and/or property developers;
  2. Members must ensure that property development and management shall be carried out in accordance with the legislation in force;
  3. Members must comply with the tenants, end users, suppliers and providers of services, as well as any other persons involved in the real estate sector;
