Large fire at Glina landfill

A fire started on Sunday evening at the landfill in Glina, a locality to the south of Bucharest. At least eight fire engines were gradually deployed at the scene. According to the General Inspectorate for Civil Contingencies (IGSU), the fire had covered a surface area of 5,000 square metres. No persons were injured. Moreover, despite the heat wave, there was no risk of the fire spreading to nearby homes.
