The Agency for Rural Investments Financing (AFIR) has paid so far 356.2 million euro related to severance payments and the investments projects financed through the National Rural Development Programme (PNDR) 2014 – 2020, according to data released on Friday by the AFIR.
The agency mentioned that after assessing 13,147 funding applications for approximately 2.3 billion euros, it selected 4,281 applications worth approximately 900 million euros. Out of the amount selected, 3,282 projects worth 300 million euro have already been contracted.
According to the AFIR, the projects agreed upon so far represent 77pct of those selected, while the difference of 23pct are projects that need a Technical Project to be drafted and will be contracted at the moment the said project will be submitted by the project beneficiaries.
