Fire in Bucharest’s Floreasca neighbourhood

A fire started on Thursday near a club in Bucharest’s Floreasca neighbourhood. According to Civil Contingencies Inspectorate (ISU) representatives, the fire was fuelled by dry vegetation and garbage. There were no victims. The surface area affected measured 200 square metres. Seven fire engines intervened at the scene, ISU added.

Daniel Vasile, ISU Bucharest-Ilfov Spokesperson, stated for Digi24 that nobody was injured because the fire took place in an open-air area. The fire engulfed a nearby tent which contained flammable materials (plastic and wood objects), however firefighters managed to put the fire out before it engulfed the nearby club.
