The transactions with shares on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) fell by 6.7pct in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period last year, to about 1.03 billion lei, according to the data with the capital market operator.
In July this year, the total value of transactions exceeded 91.1 million euros, down by 55.7pct from the same month in 2015.
The shares of Transilvania Bank, Proprietatea Fund and Romgaz were the most traded on the stock exchange, on the main market, in July.
Banca Transilvania shares saw 7,031 deals worth over 107.3 million lei, Proprietatea Fund – over 4,062 deals of 84.6 million lei and Romgaz – 5,631 deals worth about 52, 5 million lei.
On the alternative trading system, the most traded in July were the shares of Applied Informatics Company Cluj-Napoca (12.4 million lei), Deutsche Bank (2.31 million lei) and BMW (1.09 million lei).
