Director of the Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting Directorate with the National Bank of Romania (BNR) Cezar Botel will take over on September 1, 2016 the position of Romania’s representative at the Intentional Monetary Fund (IMF), BNR Governor Mugur Isarescu said Monday.
“Cezar Botel will be representing Romania at the IMF as from September 1. He started his professional career with BNR in the 1990s, and then he successfully studied for a doctor’s degree in the US; he taught at an American university, returned to BNR in the early 2000s and set up the Modelling Directorate, a department for young specialists,” Isarescu said.
He added that the directorship of the Modelling Directorate will be taken over by Tudor Grosu.
