“I feel like I am dreaming! 29 years, 3 years away from gymnastics…”
Catalina Ponor says she feels like dreaming after making it to the women’s beam final at the artistic gymnastics competition of the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games, given that she returned from a three-year absence due to a serious Achilles tendon injury.
“I’ll be competing in an Olympic beam final and I feel like I am dreaming! 29 years, 3 years away from gymnastics; I returned to the gym in April 2015 after surgery on Achilles tendon, 5 months of recovery and the moment now, my only chance of getting what I wish for! Yes, I am dreaming a dream. And there is just one final competition before I make it true. I hope it from the bottom of my heart! Go Romania!” Ponor says in a Facebook post in Romanian.
