The Romanian state has cashed in July over 15.8 million euro from selling on the EU joint auction platform the greenhouse gas (GHG) certificates related to the stationary installations and the aviation sector, a document on the Public Finances Ministry (MFP)’s website reads.
So, in July over 3.3 mln certificates related to the stationary installations worth rd 15.7 mln euro were sold. As for the aviation sector’s certificates, some 14,000 worth 62,860 euro, were also commercialized.
In January, the MFP has collected over 16.5 mln euro from GHG certificates, in February rd 18.7 mln euro, in March 17.9 mln euro, in April 18.8 mln euro, in May 14.9 mln euro, and in June 20.4 mln euro.
Romania is in the EU scheme on commercializing the GHG certificates starting with the very date of its accession to the European Union, which is 1 January 2007).
