TAROM Airlines gets new managing director

The TAROM Airlines’ Board has decided that Dan Plaveti should take over temporarily as Managing Director of the state-run flag company, while acting Gabriel Stoe would resume his former attributions as financial manager, a release sent to Agerpres by the company reads.

Gabriel Stoe had been appointed as Financial Manager of the TAROM in 2015, and from March 2016 he had taken over the managing director’s attributions.

“Dan Plaveti is a member of the TAROM Board. He has managerial experience in private and of state companies and solid knowledge of aviation, since he is a graduate with the Aircraft Faculty,” says the release.

The TAROM Romanian National Air Transport Company was established in 1954. It operates under the authority of the Transports Ministry. From June 2010 it is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance, since 1993 it is a member of the International Air Transporters’ Association (IATA,) and since 2000 it is a member of the European Air Companies’ Association (AEA).
