This July the current absorption rate of European funds remained the same as in the previous month, respectively 76.69 percent for the 2007 – 2013 financial framework, according to the data of the Ministry of European Funds (MFE).
Thus, expenditure statements submitted to the European Commission (EC) amounted to over 14.6 billion euros as of July 31, while the effective absorption rate, specifically refunds from the EC advanced 3.29 percentage points to 71.76 percent (13.6 billion euro).
The absorption rate under the Sectoral Operational Programme ‘Increase of Economic Competitiveness’ was 90.02 percent; for the Operational Programme ‘Technical Assistance’ – 97.71 percent; for the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment – 77.45 percent; for the Regional Operational Programme – 83.91 percent; for the Sectoral Operational Programme ‘Human Resources Development’ – 65.14 percent; for the Sectoral Operational Programme Transport – 68.8 percent; and 98.66 percent for the Sectoral Operational Programme ‘Development of Administrative Capacity’.
Friday, August 5 was the deadline for the submission of the final interim payment application for the Regional Operational Programme, the Operational Programme ‘Human Resources Development’, the Sectoral Operational Programme ‘Increase of Economic Competitiveness’ and the Technical Assistance Operational Programme.
The deadline for the Sectoral Operational Programmes Transport and Environment, respectively, is September 5.
March 31, 2017 is the deadline for the submission to the Commission, via the System for Fund Management 2007, of the final payment application and of the final expenditure statement.
