Extended package of matches from the Premier League available for Telekom Romania’s customers, as a result of the extension of the strategic partnership with Discovery Romania

* Telekom Romania and Discovery Romania announce the extension on long term of the strategic partnership – thus, the entire portfolio of Discovery, including Discovery Channel, Eurosport 1, TLC and IDx, will continue to be available for Telekom Romania and NextGen customers from all over the country, according to the bundles they own

* Telekom Romania and NextGen customer will enjoy the extended coverage of the matches from Premier League, available on Dolce Sport and Eurosport 1

* The agreement also covers the digital rights that ensure the access of the passionate viewers to the contents of Discovery Networks, on all dimensions screens


Telekom Romania and Discovery Romania announce the long term extension of their strategic partnership. Thus, according to the bundles packages owned by Telekom Romania and NextGen television customers they will continue to have access to the channels from Discovery portfolio (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Science, ID Xtra, DTX, but also the channels HD Discovery Showcase HD, Animal Planet HD, Discovery Science HD, ID Xtra HD and DTX HD). The agreement also include the channels from Eurosport portfolio – Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2, and their High Definition versions, Eurosport 1 HD and Eurosport 2 HD, but also Eurosport 360, the service that offers the sports passionate extended access to favourite sports, including many field transitions from the Grand Slam. The partnership refers also to the digital rights for the contents of Discovery so that the fans can access the favourite shows on any kind of screens, through Telekom TV platform.

Also, as part of this agreement, Dolce Sport will exclusively transmit a series of matches from the Premier League disputed on Sundays, and Eurosport 1 will transmit exclusively up to 5 live matches per round on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. The first stage of Premier League starts on Eurosport 1 on Saturday with the match between Hull City and Leicester from 14:15, followed by Everton vs. Tottenham from 16:30 and Manchester City vs. Sunderland from 19:30. The Premier League experience continues on Sunday with the match Bournemouth vs. Manchester United from 15:30 and the derby Arsenal vs. Liverpool from 18:00 on Dolce Sport. The round finishes on Monday, August 15th, with the match Chelsea and West Ham on Eurosport 1, from 22:00.
