Five awards for Telekom Romania at Effie, among which the Grand Effie 2016 for the Tadaaam GigaWeekend campaign

*Telekom Romania received five Effie awards for its campaigns at Effie Gala 2016.

* The most important trophy, Grand Effie 2016, was awarded for the Tadaaam GigaWeekend Campaign, developed together with the Leo Burnett agency.

 

On Thursday evening, the Effie Gala 2016, the most important competition of the advertising industry in Romania, brought to Telekom Romania five awards for its campaigns. Telekom Romania won the Grand Effie, as well as gold and bronze at the Telecommunications category, as recognition of the most efficient campaigns measured in terms of results obtained.

Thus, Telekom Romania received the Grand Effie, as well as Gold Effie at the Telecommunications category for Tadaaam GigaWeekend campaign with the Pandalie mascot, created together with Leo Burnett. At the same category, Telecommunications, Telekom Romania was awarded the Silver Effie for Xmas Kids campaign developed together with GMP Advertising for promoting the special offers for 2015 Christmas. Tadaaam Giga Weekend platform with Pandalie mascot, developed with Leo Burnett, brought Telekom Romania the Silver Effie at the Engaged Communities category and the Bronze Effie at the Brand Experience category.

„At the anniversary of two years since the Telekom brand has been present in Romania, these prizes are an honour for us, and also a confirmation of the efficiency of our campaigns. We thank the internal team who worked for these projects, but also the agencies Leo Burnett and GMP Advertising which created the winning campaigns, as well as to the Media Investment and Fieldstar agencies that handled the media and BTL implementation. These awards are at the same time a challenge to continue this success in our future endeavours!”, says Ruxandra Rau, Communication and Brand Strategy Director at  Telekom Romania.

The campaign winning of the Grand Effie 2016, Tadaaam GigaWeekend, was launched last autumn to support, with the help of the online platform Tadaaam dedicated to the users of prepaid cards, the new products Giga Share and GigaWeekend prepaid cards. The platform hosts the show „Tadaaam Show” powered by Telekom and presented by the vlogger Mikey Hash and by Pandalie, the mascot of the campaign – a huge panda bear.
