80 entrepreneurs have entered the race for the total prizes of 100,000 euros at Startarium Pitch Day

80 Romanian entrepreneurs have entered the race for the prizes totaling 100,000 euros, offered in the Startarium Pitch Day competition, the biggest event of this kind dedicated to the startups. On 23 November, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest, will take place the semifinal of the competition, after which 10 startups will continue to fight for one of the three prizes: 10,000 euros , 20,000 euros and 70,000 euros.

In parallel with the semifinal, the entrepreneurship enthusiasts can participate for free, based on the advance registration on startarium.ro/eveniment/Finala-Startarium-Pitch-Day, at a series of panels and discussions on relevant topics.


Successful entrepreneurs, business experts, incubators developers and accelerators will meet the participants in the Atlas Hall of the Radisson Blu Hotel. Techniques and methods in order to have a sustainable business, sources of funding for startups, the road from an idea to a successful business are some of the covered topics. Ellie Cachette, recognized in communities of startups in Silicon Valley and New York for her achievements in entrepreneurship, Tal Catran, an expert of the acceleration programs in Israel, Marius Tudosiei, the founder of the Bacania Veche  The Charity Shop or Ana Maria Andronic, one of the most famous lawyers specialized in IT and an active supporter of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, are listed as special guests.


The presentation of the 10 finalists startups and the awards ceremony of the 3 winners will all take place on November 23.

The jury is made up of professionals from the world of business like Sergiu Negut, Associate Dean of Entrepreneurial Growth, Maastricht School of Management Romania, Bogdan Tudor, Founder & CEO Class IT Outsourcing, Cristi Badea, Co Founder at MavenHut, Vlad Craioveanu, CEO & Co-founder Impact Hub Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, Michal Szczurek, CEO ING Romania, Sven Foss, CFO ING Romania, Daniel Llano, Head of ING Retail Banking, or Ronald Oort, Chief Risk Officer ING.


The selection will focus on the business opportunity and its growth potential, the business model analysis and the development strategy, the financial feasibility and the long-term sustainability, the experience and the commitment of the management team.
