President Klaus Iohannis and PM Dacian Ciolos are the leaders in a top of the Media appearances, according to an analysis conducted by MEDIAFAX Monitorizare for the period of November 11 – November 18, 2016.
Thus, Klaus Iohannis has 2814 references and Dacian Ciolos has 2887 references. They are followed by Traian Basescu – 1667 references, Liviu Dragnea – 1426 references, Victor Ponta – 1271 references, Alina Gorghiu – 540 references and Nicusor Dan – 299 references.
In the online environment (on the web), President Klaus Iohannis leads with 2220 references (26%), followed closely by PM Ciolos – 2218 references (26%). On the following positions are placed Traian Basescu -1318 references (16%), Liviu Dragnea -1070 references (13%), Victor Ponta -1012 references (12%), Alina Gorghiu -391 references (5%) and Nicusor Dan – 224 references (3%).
For the online environment, the main news websites, blogs, Facebook and Tweeter accounts containing .ro, have been analyzed.
A similar situation is met in the TV appearances: Klaus Iohannis – 188 references (27%), Dacian Ciolos – 185 references (27%). They’re followed by Traian Băsescu – 115 references (17%), Liviu Dragnea -94 references (14%), Victor Ponta -54 references (8%), Alina Gorghiu -37 references (5%), Nicusor Dan -12 references (2%).
As for the radio appearances, the ranking is: Klaus Iohannis -134 references (36%), Dacian Ciolos -92 references (25%), Liviu Dragnea -65 references (17%), Traian Basescu -25 references (7%), Nicuşor Dan -24 references (6%), Alina Gorghiu -19 references (5%), Victor Ponta – 13 references (3%).

PM Ciolos is the leader of the top of the appearances in the local press with 226 references (29%), followed by Klaus Iohannis – 164 references (21%), Traian Basescu -112 references (14%), Liviu Dragnea -105 references (13%), Victor Ponta -100 references (13%), Alina Gorghiu – 59 references (8%), Nicusor Dan – 14 references (2%).
The analysis conducted by Mediafax Monitorizare targeted 330 titles in the central and local press, news bulletins from 12 TV channels and 8 radio channels, as well as the main news websites, blogs, Facebook and Tweeter accounts in Romania.
