Current absorption rate of EU funds advances to 81.73 pct this November

The current absorption rate of European funds for the 2007-2013 programming period was up 1.75 percentage points this November from the month before, reaching 81.73 percent, shows data of the Ministry of European Funds (MFE).

The current absorption as per the expenditure statements referred to the European Commission increased to 15.57 bln euro.

The effective absorption inched up 0.54 percentage points to 14.8 bln euro (78.08 percent).

The current absorption rate was 105.47 pct for the Sectoral Operational Program “Increase of Economic Competitiveness” (SOP-IEC); 113.42 pct for the “Technical Assistance” Operational Program (including the top-up requested by the EC); 78.55 pct for the Operational Program “Environment”; 85.04 pct for the Regional Operational Program; 67.54 pct for the Operational Program “Human Resources Development”; 77.31 for the Operational Program “Transport”; and 98.66 pct for the Operational Program “Development of Administrative Capacity”.
