ForMin Melescanu to participate in Foreign Affairs Council’s reunion in Brussels

The Foreign Affairs Minister, Teodor Melescanu will attend on Monday in Brussels the monthly reunion of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) alongside his counterparts of the Member States of the European Union, a press release by the relevant ministry says.

The reunion will open by reviewing the main topics on the European agenda in the first half of 2017, in the context of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU, included, upon which the ministers will swap opinions. The recent developments in Syria and the ways through which the EU could contribute to the international community’s efforts to solve the crisis, will also be analysed.

Information regarding the EU – Morocco relationship and the peace process negotiations in Cyprus will also be included in the talks’ agenda.

During a working lunch, the European foreign ministers will address the stage of negotiations of the Peace Process in the Middle East, following the Paris Conference.
