Stefan Ionita appointed interim Director at National Company of Road Infrastructure Administration

Stefan Ionita was appointed the new Director of the National Company of Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), the Ministry of Transport announced on Friday.

Ionita will take over the office until the procedure of leadership selection will complete, which is stipulated by the Government Ordinance No. 109/2011.

Stefan Ionita is 38 years old and led, from 2014 until now, the CNAIR’s Technical and Quality Directorate. Between 2004 and 2014 he had several positions within the Technical Road Studies and Computers Center (CESTRIN). He graduated the Technical Constructions University in Bucharest – the Railways, Roads and Bridges Faculty and has a masters in “Machines and Production Systems” within the Polytechnic University in Bucharest.

Former Director of the CNAIR Catalin Homor was revoked from office two days ago, because deficiencies were found in managing the company’s activities in the last period.
