The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Melescanu, received on Thursday the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Xu Feihong, on a courtesy visit, informs a press release the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE).
During the meeting an exchange of opinions regarding the current stage and evolution prospects of the bilateral relations in the political and economic spectrum and inter-personal contacts. The Minister of Foreign Affairs underscored the attention that Romania constantly accords to consolidating the Ample Partnership of Friendship and Cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, an aspect underlined in the Governing Program of the new Executive in Bucharest, the quoted source shows.
Both sides have underscored the interest to concretize the economic cooperation projects in Romania on key areas in the national development, like infrastructure and energy, as well to diversify the trade bilateral exchanges.
The two officials reaffirmed the wish to continue the strong collaboration in the format China – Central and Eastern Europe, as well within the UN, and other multi-lateral bodies.
