Consul of Chile in Romania, Rodrigo Guzmán Barros, launches poetry book

This Wednesday, 1st of February will take place the official launch of the poetry book “Prontuario Poético / Cazier Poetic” written by the Consul of Chile in Romania, Rodrigo Guzmán Barros at Noblesse Palace in Bucharest. This is the author’s first poetry book and it collects 40 years of poetic activity. Some of his poems have won literary prizes in his native country.

This work, which confirms the close relation that Chile has with poetry (the South American country has two Nobel Prize winners for Literature – Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral), is published in a Spanish Romanian bilingual edition and it its illustrations were especially done for this book by the outstanding Romanian plastic artist Oana Bîrsan.

Prontuario Poético / Cazier Poetic was presented with great success in the last International Book Fair Gaudeamus held last November, and the book was presented by the Vicepresident of the Writers’ Union of Romania, Dan Mircea Cipariu.
