ECDL tests the digital skills of the young people at Veranda Mall

Veranda Mall in partnership with ECDL ROMANIA, provides students with the opportunity to freely test their digital skills, through interactive IT training sessions prepared for the primary school, as well as through ECDL simulations for high school students. Children and young people will explore the digital world also through the 3D printers that can be found at ECDL EduHub in Veranda Mall.

“Today, the role of a mall is not only to propose a wide shopping offer to the visitors, but to be a destination for each member of the family, where they can spend their free time. Since its launch, Veranda Mall is constantly hosting various activities for children of all ages. The partnership with ECDL is included in this series of events, combining in a creative manner the educational component with the playful one. Moreover, this opportunity supports those who will hold the baccalaureate by testing their digital skills. There are many young people passionate about computers and technology, and we are very glad that we can organize such courses for them” stated Andrei Pogonaru, the developer of Veranda Mall.

ECDL – European Computer Driving License, the most spread certification program for digital skills, internationally recognized in 150 countries, invites students to register to the free simulations for the baccalaureate and to the IT courses for primary school children, which are also free, organized at Veranda Mall in February. To participate in these activities, you can register yourself at the email address

Primary school students can participate to interactive IT courses, in groups of 10 children, taking place in each weekend at Veranda Mall. High School students who wish to enroll in the international ECDL certification program are invited to participate to the free simulations, following the ECDL PROFIL BAC model, designed for the students who wish to equate the digital skills test within the Baccalaureate exam. All those who will come to ECDL EduHub at Veranda Mall can assist to 3D ECDL demonstrations, having access to the 3D printers.

The ECDL license provides its holder a standard base of IT knowledges necessary in the new information society, which is continuously growing. The holders of the ECDL license can increase their occupational mobility and they can efficiently and productively use the computer regardless of their age, profession or activity field, their digital skills being certified for lifetime, according to the analytical programs corresponding to each of the modules, in force at the time of the examination.

In the middle of the winter, Veranda Mall turns into a destination for young people of all ages to spend their free time. Every month, the shopping center organizes workshops and theaters with free access.
