Large rally to support the Grindeanu Government. Thousands of people came out in the street at Targoviste

Thousands of people came out in the street at Targoviste to support the Grindeanu Government. It was a large meeting organized by the Dambovita branch of the Social Democrat Party (PSD).

The rally that was organized in front of the Targoviste City Hall, lasted for approx. one hour, being followed by a march of solidarity with the PSD-ALDE Government. “President lost, we declare him null”. “Iohannis, don’t forget, Romania is not yours” and “Elegant protest… hesitant President” have been few of the slogans of the participants at the rally.

“I didn’t ask for Liviu Dragnea’s approval to organize this meeting. I was mainly urged by the Arges Organization, we have a little competitor between organizations, between counties… We decided to organize a rally with 10,000 people, since they had a rally with 7,000 people” stated the PSD Dambovita President, Senator Adrian Tutuianu (photo).

In the end, the number of the demonstrators in the Revolution Square of Targoviste was higher than 8,000 people. Minister Rovana Plumb was present at the event, telling to the people in the street: Romania cannot be suppressed or divided. Romania cannot be threatened or abused. Romania is alive and stately, that’s what we prove here today”.

“Not everybody is happy in our country or abroad when PSD forms a Government and has a good and coherent government program. Not everybody is happy when such a Government aims to put the country in its feet. And then, your voice must be heard here and across the country. We support PSD, we support the Grindeanu Government, we support Liviu Dragnea” said the former ForMin Titus Corlatean on the stage.
