President Iohannis: It’s not enough to oppose illegal cutting, we must support afforestation actions

President Klaus Iohannis announced on Saturday, in a post on his Facebook page, that he planted a sapling on the occasion of marking the National Day of the Forest, underscoring that afforestation actions must be supported.

“I have planted the first sapling on the occasion of marking, for the first time, the National Day of the Forest! It’s not enough to oppose illegal cutting, we must also support afforestation actions. Romania cannot have a future without roots!,” the head of state conveyed.

He thanked all the people who are making efforts for Romania’s afforestation.
