Ploiesti will host the first sensorial concert in Romania – “Vision of Jazz”

The first sensorial concert in Romania benefitting from the Great Events innovation, represented by combining quality music with smell, taste and visual effects, will be organized in Prahova, Ploiesti. The concert is called “Vision of Jazz”, and will be performed within the national tour of the Jazz band “Sorin Zlat Trio”, special guest being the American saxophonist Woody Witt.

On April 12, 2017, the “Europa” Hall of the Administrative Palace of Ploiesti will host the concert “Vision of Jazz” within the national tour of the Jazz band “Sorin Zlat Trio”. The event will be an original experience for the audience, given that, while watching, it will soak up a fusion of senses in an interesting ambiance, specially created for this event. This is because “Vision of Jazz” will be the first sensorial concert in Romania, which will arrive exclusively at Ploiesti, combining quality music with smell, taste and visual effects. It was mentioned that Great Events Romania is the organizer of high-class performances, addressed to an elite audience, aiming to place the spectator in the foreground, to experience beautiful states remaining in his heart for a long time. Thus, the purpose of this event is to bring an unforgettable experience to spectators, to educate the audience by a decorous manner, by combining various manifestations of the artistic act: jazz, pop, Latino and classical music, as well as painting, manifested at a high level of professionalism. Spectators will also benefit from a special ambiance thanks to combining visual, auditory, gustatory and olfactory sensations which they will experience in the room. The organizers announced that the performance in Ploiesti will be outstanding, and the special guest will be the American saxophonist Woody Witt.

The Jazz trio band was founded in 2011, and it is formed by three members: Sorin Zlat – piano, Razvan Cojanu – bass, and Andrea Marcelli – drums. The band’s repertoire is various, including their own compositions and famous jazz songs interpreted in a unique manner. Sorin Zlat is a jazz pianist, clarinetist, composer, arranger and winner of more than twenty national and international awards, while Razvan Cojocaru is one of the most wanted jazz bassists in the country, being invited and appreciated at numerous international jazz events. Andrea Marcelli was born in Italy, Rome, and he is currently residing in Germany. Having a jazz career of 30 years and over 200 personal compositions produced and broadcasted worldwide, he performed concerts on five continents and collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Wayne Shorter, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, David Liebman and Eddie Gomez. Thanks to his vibrant and challenging style, two of his compositions have been include in “The European Real Book”. As for the special guest of the concert from Ploiesti – the saxophonist Woody Witt -, he is a musician known and appreciated in the USA, Professor and Doctor of Music at the Houston University. He collaborated and recorded songs with great names of the world jazz, such as Randy Brecker, Eddie Gomez, Jimmy Cobb, David Liebman, James Moody, Billy Hart, etc.

Tickets are available through the great-events.ro network, and their price varies from RON 170 (for the VIP category) to RON 60.
