Prahova Valley, preferred for the Easter holiday

Also this year, the resorts on the Prahova Valley are one of the preferred destinations to spend Easter holiday. The confirmation comes from the hotel owners or villa and pension managers who rub their hands with joy when they look in their books and see that almost all the beds are busy.

Either we speak about Sinaia, Busteni or Azuga, the fact is that the resorts on the Prahova Valley were highly wanted again for spending the 2017 Easter holiday. Hotel owners have prepared their offers since a long time ago, and these offers were more or less attractive, many beds being booked long ago; a few days before Easter, there are few accommodation units who can still meet demands.

As for the prices, they are different from one resort to another, as well as depending on the specific of the accommodation unit, namely the number of the stars with which it is rated, depending on the services rendered. Moreover, to attract their customers, some of the managers included in their offers even the transport to church for the Resurrection. Specifically, a 3-star hotel in Sinaia, where the traditional festive dinner and the artistic program are included, offers a special price – RON 1,250 for a double room. The mentioned amount includes 3 accommodation nights, with a buffet breakfast, as well as other facilities, such as parking place or access to SPA; a special entertainment program is offered to children on the Easter day. Also in this resort, the price of a stay for 3 nights for two persons at a 4-star hotel is EUR 320; the stay price for 4 nights is EUR 366. In both cases, the package includes a buffet dinner with fasting food for the Resurrection evening, and after Resurrection, the menu will include red-painted eggs, bread, sponge cake and red wine. Then, in the first Easter day – festive dinner and live music; the original package includes access to the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym. But the prices for the stay at a 5-star villa in this resort are of their kind; the stay which includes a 3-night stay has a price between RON 1,830 and RON 2,979, for two persons, of course, depending on the room’s type. The package also includes, besides the festive dinner, a surprise gift, as well as free access to SPA, sauna and Jacuzzi. However, in all of the cases, the hotel owners promise that they will welcome their guests in the Resurrection night with the traditional red-painted eggs, wine and sponge cake; next day, an Easter breakfast with a traditional menu and diverse artistic programs will be organized.

The Easter offers were diverse also in Busteni. Thus, the accommodation to a pension – with food brought from home – had a price of RON 50 for a single person per night; the location was leased for a single group of six people, for at least 3 nights, starting from April 14. But the price of an offer of a mansion in Busteni, for 3 nights of accommodation, had a price of RON 820 for a double room, or RON 960 for a double room and 4 nights; the offer included, besides accommodation, breakfast, the possibility to make Easter decorations, and the Easter lunch.

As in the other two resorts, the offers in Azuga also depended on the facilities provided by the accommodation unit. Thus, the prices of a 5-star hotel were EUR 548 for a double room, for 3 nights. The price includes breakfast, buffet in the piano bar after the Resurrection, with traditional food specific to the Easter celebration; a workshop for making Easter decorations, egg hunt and a party with entertainers have been organized for children. The following offers have been available also in Azuga: 3 nights of full board – RON 450 for a single person in a double room, RON 380 for a single person – 3 nights with breakfast in a double room; the offers included breakfast on April 15, festive breakfast on the Easter day, dinner on April 14, 15 and 16. The same price also included: free access to sauna, 25% discount for the entertainment complex including bawling, billiards, table tennis and other games, 25% discount for a ride with the gondola, including the transport to church for the Resurrection.
