Premier Sorin Grindeanu discussed on Wednesday at the Victoria Palace of Government with representatives of The Carlyle Group the development of the equity player’s energy investments, particularly in the Black Sea region.
“The Group representatives announced their intention to move as fast as possible to the gas production stage from the Black Sea offshore blocks held under a license agreement, but also to identify new investment opportunities in Romania,” reads a government release to Agerpres.
Premier Grindeanu highlighted the government’s readiness to facilitate the access of investors on the Romanian market.
“We are firmly determined to support, by the measures reached by the Government, the business milieu and promote investment opportunities in Romania,” said the head of the Executive.
Attending the meeting on the Government’s behalf were Minister of Energy Toma Petcu, state advisor to the Prime Minister Marius Nica and Secretary of State with the Prime Minister’s working apparatus Alexandru Chirila, the release said.
