US Ambassador: I wasn’t informed by Washington about any visit of President Trump in Romania this month

The US Ambassador in Bucharest, Hans Klemm, stated on Tuesday that he did not receive any information according to which the US President Donald Trump would have scheduled a visit to Bucharest this month, saying that he is ‘welcomed’ in our country anytime.

“I wasn’t informed by Washington about any visit of President Trump in Romania this month” stated the diplomat, pointing out that the US President will also attend the NATO Summit in Brussels, in May.

“I don’t know anything of any plan he has about coming in Romania in this period. He is welcomed, of course”, the American diplomat said after he attended the opening of an exhibition at the National Library.
